Join us at The Inn at Longwood Medical in Boston on November 17 from 6-8pm for our monthly education social. We are pleased to have Judy Remz, Director, Electronic Health Record Operation for Atrius Health/Harvard Vanguard presenting, "You’ve done a great job implementing that new feature! Now what?".
The purpose of this presentation is to give you practical ideas on how to improve the adoption of functions and features that will help your clinicians and staff use their EHR more effectively.
The RAND/AMA Physician Satisfaction Study from 2013 says "We found that EHR usability represents a relatively new, unique, and vexing challenge to physician professional satisfaction. Few other service industries are exposed to universal and substantial incentives to adopt such a specific, highly regulated form of technology, which has, as our findings suggest, not yet matured."
In our ambulatory practice, we found that we spent hours of governance decision-making, design, build and testing, to implement helpful features for our clinicians and staff and yet sometimes ….adoption was weak.
This talk will address practical ideas on how to improve adoption and help providers and staff reap the benefits of using an EHR or other information system.
- How to develop a marketing campaign to boost adoption of useful features.
- Effective ways to handle post go live optimization
- Role of the executive sponsor after go live
- Delivering workflows along with the new features
